ALF Ladder Chief Drawings

Postby GLMFAA1 on Sun Mar 04, 2012 2:57 pm

Going through my inventory of drawings I found one I had forgotten, It is an ALF drawing of the Ladder Chief right from an Elmira drawing desk, These are photos of the drawing enjoy
Image
We also learn the tracks width of the ALF's
Image
Cabinet C goes all the way from side to side, that would make a nice frame rest in the middle of the body so that might eliminate the 'tail dragging' look to the kit

Something of interest- Ladder note 100' 4 section or 85' three section, so now we know AMT's is 85 footer
Also note the overall height difference between closed and open cab

Stars at night. You see them due to the light traveling from them. What you see is the stars past. If you are seeing a star that's 6,000 yrs ago. Imagine somebody on that star looking at us. They'd be seeing us as 6,000 yrs ago. Which of those two is now?

I have a set of drawings like this for Aero Chief's
I need to dig them out & find a place to scan them for me.
They are too long for my scanner!!

Dan I don't understand, I can not scan the whole drawing so I hung it up and took pictures of portions of the drawing, those are the pictures.

My question is; What happened to the Pictures in the original post?
ALL I get now are picture Icons with an x in the lower right corner. ie, Broken Link.

Besides, scans are Pictures too.
At least my scanner saves as jpg's

My scanner will not hold those large pages either.
I have 3 different plan sheets for the Aero Chief/Aero Chief Quint I
want to upload here, but they are about 17-18 inches long.
My scanner will only hold up to almost 12 inches.
(US Legal, european/World A4 size)

Dan, I have several threads regarding ALF ladders which one is giving you trouble and I'll check, I don't think I modified anything in photobucket to loose the pics.
FED/EX Kinko can scan and digitize the drawings but it cost more than paper copies of them, I too am limited in scanner space.

The Pictures in this thread are missing. Glad I downloaded them the first day!!
I am guessing it may be my settings, But, if so, why do other threads still show pictures?

I just tried to rick-click, view picture in another tab.,
I get a 404 Can Not Find Page error

Something odd in Photobucket too
Even after logging in to my account, some of your pictures do not show when
I click on the thumbnail until I hit "Zoom" in the pop up on top of them.
I see all thumb's, but a few do not show when clicked.
I get the same gray icon with small 'x'. So, Why do they pop back in when I click 'Zoom'??
Note, they do Not show up if I only right-click, Enlarge!

It has to be a setting in my Maxthon3 Browser.
I used the link in the email notice while still in my Firefox Browser, and all pictures are posted clear.
However, Something Has changed on the site.
I get a php banner block error on both browsers.

Is there an advertisement up there now??
Not up there now, but was.

I get 4 copies of this line;

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /includes/functions.php on line 3770: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /index.php(1) : eval()'d code:7)

Any ideas??

I dug out my Aero-Chief prints.
They are 20x8 inch in size.
Al;so, they are 2 sheets each taped together.
I have 3 different plans/prints.
Single drive, Tandem Drive & tandem drive Qunit.
I will work on getting them scanned in to my PC.
