Working on my ALF heavy rescue and come to a point where I want to make a light tower for it. If any of you have suggestions or ideas please feel free to email me. Thanks in advance

How about using the triple light unit that is with the Monogram Mack Snap Kit? Use a piece of aluminum tubing for the pole.
Check with Shapeways also. They might have a sample quartz light that is 3D printed. Also check here in the Parts Bin for Shapeways products that Matt Leese has done for fire apparatus models.

2 methods for telescoping mast for the Scene light
matching Aluminum tubes, next smaller than previous
2-3-4 sections

Second an Old TV/Radio antenna of the approximate diameter and length
I am using that method for the water way on my Stalled MACK CF Aerialscope project!!!
Larger diameter matches the Evergreen/Plastruct 1/4 Tubing/elbows at the turntable
upper section matches the smaller 1/8-3/16 at basket.
