The title basically says it all. I have been working at replicating my hometown's 1927 ALF pumper. Few pictures exist. Of those that I know of, there are many variations of the truck's characteristics over the years. To complicate matters further, we also had a 1922 ALF. it appears that both trucks were delivered with "plain Jane" wheels, as opposed to the Yat Ming's fancy gold leaf ones. Later photos of the 1927 show the rims painted silver. The jury is still out if I will add that detail, or stay with an older scheme... Any suggestion would be appreciated. I would like to build a second replica of the 1927 to donate to the Station. If any of you have a 1927 ALF in your stash that you would be willing to part with, let me know. I would be happy to buy or trade. Thanks.
