This could prove interesting. Not exactly sure what I'll do, but I'll probably think of something from the stash that will work. I have the 1950 Chevrolet Advance Design pickup & the 1950 Ford F1 pickup that I could possibly use.

I've had the Meng F-350 kit in the stack for a couple of years; I think I'll see how close I can get to this truck with it:

Nice! Chittenango has almost the same truck, but in white.

Just to clarify, by support are you basically just talking about utility and staff vehicles, or would things like fuel trucks, repair vehicles, canteen trucks (hot coffee and donuts), salvage wagons and similar be included?

car,or van just give description on the function and purpose of the support unit. I am looking foward to see what you all

I really want to build Columbus Fire's Incident Support Unit (ISU 19). It's a 2015 Navistar/Summit.
Image
But, other than the Jada diecast, there isn't a decent kit of an International/Navistar cab out right now.

So, I'm going to use the Revell snap Peterbilt for this build...because I like that chassis and building for fictional fire departments means I can take as much creative licensing as I'd like.
Image

It will be assigned to Gables Corner VFD and stationed with the other Peterbilt engine I finished a while ago.

For those that could use some ideas, here's some of the other types of builds I have been contemplating for this group build:
FDNY TSU 2 (if only I had a boat...)

I recently acquired the Lindberg Dodge Dakota pickup kit; might start with that and do the F-350 later.

I am not entering but through the years I've built some support vehicles:

ALF shop tow truck, Ford LNT aviation division support, Dodge building maintenance, Chevy equipment maintenance vehicles.

1934 Ford: division of salvage unit

Have fun with the builds

Stars at night. You see them due to the light traveling from them. What you see is the stars past. If you are seeing a star that's 6,000 yrs ago. Imagine somebody on that star looking at us. They'd be seeing us as 6,000 yrs ago. Which of those two is now?

Good minds think alike.

I converted the '34 panel back to a '32 for St. Louis FD Rescue.

I also built one as a '34 Chicago FD salvage squad.

My box is coming along for Gables Corner VFD's Incident Support Unit, but now I need to decide on which cab configuration to go with.
Day Cab:

Small sleeper:

Large sleeper:

If I go with a sleeper, I plan to replace the sleeper access door with a roll-up door and make it a storage compartment.

I could always make it a crew/quad cab Peterbilt. Anyone have a suggestion for which way to go with build?

Looking good Brandon. I like the looks of the sleeper cab/storage compartment arrangement as opposed to the day cab.

Got started on the Lindberg Dodge Dakota; I decided to complete this one first and then possibly move on to the Meng F-350.
This will be a simple utility vehicle for the University Park FD, TX, loosely based on a Chevy Colorado used by the department that I saw a few years ago.
