Subject: Tiller Trucks
Era : Any
Build Time Frame: Jan 1, 2008 - Dec 31, 2008
Scale : Any
In Progress Photo Requirement - LOTS! :D

The whole goal will be for everyone who has wanted to build one do just that. Even if you are not building one feel free to inject your ideas and advice. Because of the size of the project the whole year is open. I will even look at putting something together at the end for a vote for the best one with a prize to the winner. If you are interested, say so and I will add you to the list so I can see if there is interest or not. And don't be afraid of not having the skills to try it, that's what the build is for, so you can go along with every one else.

Gentleman, thank you for the kind words. I bought the beacons from Tom Conrad last year....He builds some really nice warning lights at great prices with a fast turn around. I contacted him at mfd6@exepc.com for a price list. About the only light bars I use are the old Twinsonics or a bar with beacons and a speaker. I am glad I bought a herd of lights from Tom...at this rate I will use them all!
Hopefully I will be shooting some primer this evening....Rich

I just plum ran out of time tonight...I got the rear section of the trailer rebuilt. I needed to raise the ladder storage area...it's the white plastic showing under the tiller cab to level the ladder in the stowed position. The lime green under the turntable will be scrapped and I will build an entire new piece with jump seats like Seattle's trucks. Once I get that done I will prime everything at one time and then finish the tractor. So far a very satifying rebuild. Thnks for looking.....Rich

Ok, now that I figured out why I coundn't respond on the old forum... I am in for this build. I've always wanted to build one but have always been intimidtated by the trailer. This is just the thing to get me going, and hopefully you guys can talk me through my hang ups. I just hope I can actually finish by the end of the year. I got a good start today since I've had this cold that I've been using as an excuse for not painting the bathroom. Pictures coming soon. BTW Rich I like the Seatle KW.

Thanks for the input. I hope to see more posts on here soon...I finally got the first coat of red on the trailer parts tonight. I shot it in the rear bay of the station after training and the five runs we had this evening. I hope to get the second coat on tomorrow morning before I go to the Sportsman show in Harrisburg that way it will be dry enough to handle tomorrow night.
Then I can start the finish work on the whole thing....then I guess I will start the Seagrave Tiller rehab....it never ends...

OK, I got two coats of red on and I can see a couple of spots I need to hit again...and I will need to shoot another coat on the doors. Overall I am pleased but can now see it will take a lot of deck plate to finish up with.....

Nice... simply amazing... Are you goig to make some compartments behind the Cab.. looks kinda plain.. But it does not detract from the build.. it still looks great :)
