Mack Build repost

Let's not forget the Mack build. You could even build a Mack tiller rig & enter it in both!!

If I had a Mack CF cab, I would consider that. Oh well, maybe Cargostar will get that MC done, then I can do one of my ET's I want to do.

RH,
Besides an "Extra Terestrial" what's an "ET"/ Engine-tanker?

Sorry, yes, around here ET is engine tanker, compared to a strait tanker. We have only have 4 ETs around here, and only about 5 strait tankers. We have had a few that were lost in the county due to lack of water and water supply. There was a day where every station had either a tanker or an ET. That meant 12 companies with 2,000 gallons or more, now minimum tankers are 1500, ETs are 1000.

No photos yet, but I have the frame built and interior almost done. Need the pumper bed yet, but that's in the works.

Tried to upload these last night, but couldn't get into the board. Here's the chassis and interior of the Mack DM 600 that will be the basis for my pumper.

First the cab with lightbar on the chassis, with a slightly extended bumper.

It's getting there, slowly.

Out here in the west and in the sticks we call them water tenders, mostly 4000 gallons but there are some smaller and in every configuration you can think of 4x4 6x6 etc.lfd214

Yeah, and I understand froma friend, if you ask for a tanker, don't look up. :D You'll drown, because what you get is an air-drop.

Exactly right RH you never call for a tanker unless you want it dropped on your head,lfd214

Doesn't the frame on the Mack kit have to be lengthened? I have two of these kits sitting on my shelf and Ii haven't opened them yet. I was thinking of converting one into a rural tanker of about the 3000 gallon variety. It would also go good with my fire station diorama I am planning. I also think the ALF pumper body would lend itself nicely to the Mack chassis as well...

Depends on the bodywork. The ALF is a mid engine truck, while the Mack is a conventional Engine in front of cab truck. When you remove the engine area from the ALF body, the Mack frame should be plenty long.

Ok , I gues since I'm building the Mack cab, and a Mack/Bronto, I'll join in.
Heres what I have so far. Over Xmas, I was able to come up with bluebrints for the Bronto, so I have removed everything off of the lower boom and am rebuilding it correctly.
