Been kinda quiet around here! Lets get a group build going!

Postby Daveski25 on Fri Sep 07, 2012 8:47 pm

Summer is winding down and now as the colder weather approaches maybe we can spark some creative juices on here and get a group build going. I'm open to anything or any suggestions just hoping to get some activity on here.

So heres some ideas I had for a group build(again just Ideas)
A. Using the newly reissued GMC Pickup with snowplow, build some sort of a police or fire vehicle.

B. Rescue Van, Using the reissued Chevy Van, Build a police or Fire vehicle

C. Just a kitbash....Kit bash two or more kits to make a police or fire rig!

Or..any other suggessions anyone else has.

Dave,
I like the kitbash idea. Istarted one just today. A 1997 Ford F150 p/u in front and the GMC wrecker in back. Gonna be for the police dept. Not sure how beat up to make it.

Kit bash sounds good to me...I was planning on a kit bashed brush rig. :ugeek:

The Chevy Van would make a great Patrol Wagon for the police.....or Shop repair Van for the Fire dept.....or to be morbid a coroners vehicle ......the possibilities are endless......Gary

Hmmm! I like the idea of kit bashing but I think we need a definition of what a kit bash should be. No? 8-)

To keep it simple we can say using 2 or more Kits, or components from a kit to create the finished project. For example, using the AMT pumper body on a commercial type chassis,(ford Louisville kit, or a kenworth or Peterbuilt kit) to create the finished project. We can allow some modifying or scrachbuilding, but mostly kit parts must be used.

What do you guys think?

Could easily be converted into a brush truck or light rescue!
