Very nice, I like the striped hose. Did you ever ponder bare metal on the slam locks?

Stars at night. You see them due to the light traveling from them. What you see is the stars past. If you are seeing a star that's 6,000 yrs ago. Imagine somebody on that star looking at us. They'd be seeing us as 6,000 yrs ago. Which of those two is now?

Greg, Thanks!

Yep, I did consider chroming the slam locks but chose to leave them body color like the prototypes' rectangular slam locks. Of course, some of this build is based on the prototype, and part is based on the parts available in the Revell kit (like the side view mirrors), so it's a Hodge-podge type build.

If I made another one, I would probably use chrome slam locks to give the body more bling.

Looks like I'm late to the party but I could pull together a brush truck in a month. Any restrictions?

Here's my brush truck. I started this back in 2012, and as many projects around here do, it got sidelined while I worked on other things. I finished it up earlier this year and am pleased with the results. So this is a Ford LN 4 door brush truck outfitted with my fictional department logo. I started off with (2) Amt Ford Ln cabs that I combined together. I converted the front grill area updating the grill to a more modern tube type grill and square headlights. The rear body is completely scratch built. The cab and body sit on a highly modified kit frame. I converted the rig to 4x4 as well. Thanks for looking.

These all look great, I don't envy Charlie.

I ran into some... technical difficulties this year. Hopefully I get these done by this time next year.

As Charlie requested here are some larger photos of my brush truck. I'm not sure why it's cutting off half the picture. But if you click on them it will take you to my photobucket where you can view more photos. Thanks for looking.

Your LN brush truck looks great. How did you make the rear chevrons?

The rear chevrons are made from vinyl I found in the rc plane section. It comes in sheets in ever color you can think of. I cut strips, then laid them on the body. Trimming with sharp razor.

I think the size of the picture is too large in your file. If you reduce the image size a bit I think you will get the whole thing. Do the resizing before you submit to Photobucket.
