Mercedes Sprinter Ambulance (Completed)

Postby Robbo on Wed Jan 28, 2009 11:42 pm

Well. it has taken a bit of time to complete. This was mainly due to the Christmas period and the fact that the model was not the latest Sprinter model. The new model is wider, the cabin roof lower and the drop off shape of the front doors/windows is sharper, giving a sleeker look. The side windows are also integrated into the side doors, for a continuous look of one large darkened glass side panel. This made it difficult to paint the model of the earlier version, in the latest livery design, so some 'artistic license' was taken. However, I think that it has turned out OK.

The link to the PhotoBucket site is: ... Ambulance/

There is a low resolution video clip showing the emergency rotating beacons and rear roof-bar lights in operation. There is also a range of pictures showing the construction and electronics layout.

Cheers from Robbo.
If it's not broken, then don't try to fix it. If it is broken then only one tool and aids are required: A hammer if it's tight and Blu-Tack if it's loose.
