Topic markers

Postby R H on Sun Feb 03, 2008 12:07 am

Chris, I am tring to figure out the different topic markers. Here is what I do know:
Blinking center and outside: Sticky topic unread
Solid center and outside: Sticky topic read
Blinking center and outside: Topic unread
Solid center and outside:Topic read
White dot in corner of icon: I posted in the topic

What I don't know is what it means when the outside is blinking, and the center is solid, or why once I read a topic, its marker is still blinking.

Would you please enlighten me? :?:

If the outside is blinking it is a popular topic. Sort of like the flame that always burns on some forums.

I'm probably overlooking something, but is there a way for me to set it up to get all of the blinkers at the top of the page instead of scattered about when I get on the forums?

That said, what about when I view one, and it continues to blink, with no new postings?

The outside will do that. Popular topics always have some sort of eye catching thing about them.

I saw something somewhere that showed them and what they are, but now when I want to find it, it is hiding.

can't see the blue....please don't use it.

Pick Strong contrast colors. Blue/Black is too close. Yellow is good, red is good, but maroon or burgundy is tougher to see.

The default font color is something that I have tried to figure out how to change but when I have tried I get some kind of error messages. it is on my long list of learn how to do's though.
