Revell Germany, 1 in, 1 out. :D

I realized today that no one here has mentioned these kits. Chief Chris, you need to add these to the kits list

First kit is no longer available, I think because they used part of it to do the second kit.

Kit # 07525, Schlingmann HLF 20/16 Mercedes Benz Atego 1529 AF

This is what we commonly call a Rescue Engine here in the US. It is highly detailed. I think there was someone on here working on one??? 8 man cab, dual rear wheels, light tower, rescue tools, ladders, hose rolls, and much more!

Second kit, KIt # 07586, Schlingmann TLF 16/25 Mercedes Benz Atego 1529 AF

Image

Classified as a "water tender" this has a lighter chassis than the HLF. It too, is highly detailed. Though they look very similar, they are different. They have different emergency lights on the roof, different light towers, this one has single rear wheels, different scene lights, and some different equipment in the compartments. This is just out and seems readily available.

I have yet to see either one in any hobby shop here.
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue

Due to their cost, they are probably special order.

Tower Hobby had the first one listed for about a month, then it was gone.

Which is VERY FUNNY since Towers owns Revell-Monogram!!!!! Don't they talk with their cousins across the pond?

Hi Red
I picked up the 20/16 last year at McCormick's in London On. Last time I was in there I think he still had one in stock. I haven't seen the 16/25 yet though.

Found the second one, too big though to carry home, unfortunately do not drive, and embarassing to take on bus, a lot of ignorant here. Although I wanted the first one!

Hello! and greetings from Finland!
I have build that first Mercedes-Benz modelkit, that was awesome model, lots of details, equipment and stuff :) And yes, the second model is a "evolution" model kind of from the first.
(sorry my english is not perfect)
