Old Model Musters

Postby GLMFAA1 on Thu Apr 24, 2014 7:04 pm

I got some more of my negatives scanned and here is a compilation of some of the models from various Musters from Ohio and Maryland
Here is a teaser: This is by Jim Embry, who took the MPC Christie and retro fitted it into a horse drawn unit using the horses from the Lindberg caisson and cannon kit. The firefighter is the soldier from the kit

Awesome to see this! I have a Christie that one day I plan to do a similar back date to. I bought a couple of Breyer horses for the conversion. After seeing this, I may just have to look into the Cannon/Cassion kit. My LHS has one for around $90.00, but
they are known for having high prices...

I remember seeing those and lots of others in Toledo. Always impressed and inspired by what I saw others were doing.

Greg, are you going to the muster at the Ohio Fire Academy next month?

I'm thinking the white over blue apparatus is the late Ed Boysanko.

No Greg, Twin Lakes was Tom Sheehy. Twin Lakes had three companies, Co 1 was white over red, Co 2 (Rescue Co) was white over blue, Co 3 was solid darker red.
