I Found my way back

Postby ChrisMooney on Sun Jan 23, 2011 12:30 pm

I have been AWOL for the last two months and here is why.

After two accidents two totaled cars. (both not my fault.) The first was at the end of October when an elderly gentleman with Alzheimer's got on the highway and hit my beloved dodge head-on. I was coming from work and alone the dodge is now razor blades. and the second after a nice weekend getaway in the Poconos Sara was driving i was half a asleep. She slowed down for a school zone and some out of state driver flew up behind and Passed us illegal on the left in a school zone. hitting the drivers side of the car spinning it out and giving Sara a Minor concussion. Sara is OK and I'm hiding in my basement LOL the shift captain wont get in the engine with me for fear of some one hitting us. but now almost everything is settled and I'm back on the bench. PS if you have a car loan get GAP insurance I did and it saved me over 4,000 when they totaled the Dodge for less than what I owed

If anyone is waiting for parts pleas PM and ill get them to you... thanks for the understanding.

My guess is that ANY front end collision activates the air bags. When those are deployed, almost EVERY car will be considered totaled. While the damage may look minor, it's amazing what those collisions cause inside the steering, engine, suspension, and front clip.

Chris, we are glad you weren't hurt, and hope Sara is getting better.

the bad thing about this it dose not look like a hard hit . it coud have be very bad if the air bags did not deployed .

Chris,
Sorry for the late reply. Glad to hear that you and Sara are OK. I am sorry to hear about the vehicles, I know what a hassle that can be. Is Sara still in school? Hope to be able to make it to the NNL. If I am able to, look forward to seeing you there. Are you still buying lunch :D ?
