Revell American Firefighters Steamer

Postby hookandladderno1 on Fri Mar 21, 2014 12:03 pm

 Hi Gang,

I know that this is a really odd request, but I am looking for the two valve wheels that mount on the steam boiler.  I had bought this kit years ago, and am finally getting around to building it.  With my improving skill level and the newer finishing options(Alclad, BMF) I am looking to do this kit justice.  Any assistance would be appreciated.  Thanks.

If you don't have any luck with the actual parts you might look into model train parts. Lots of hand wheels and valves on trains. When you add in the different scales, trains provide a huge variety of valve wheels which can be used for anything from 1" drain knobs to ones you could use for a steering wheels.

See, trains.

Are you using Internet Explorer?

I have the same problem, but found I can use Chrome or Firefox then everything works fine. Kind of annoying as I'm more comfortable with IE. It only seems to effect websites that use the Invision forum software.

I've never heard of this kit mind sharing a pic? I only know of the Christie steamer and a few 70s hot rods that are modified steamers. I love the really old stuff much appreciated.
