Re: Mack MC/MR Cab UPDATE 4/23

Postby cargostar on Sat Nov 22, 2008 11:24 am

All I have left to finish is the interior. I have the cab, wipers, headlights, bumper, steps, fenders and grill done and stockpiled. It is the next one to finish, so I'm hoping to have it available before Xmas!

Cool... im shure it will be tops... There is a few guys at the Truck Building forum that really want your Cargostar cab...

Yep! $55.00 Doner chassis.....well....it depends on how accurate you want to be! For 100% accurate, you better find a truck and measure one. The frame is unique in that one frame rail widens at the front, while the other stays fairly straight. Most are a 12" frame. Closest kit frame would be any of the reissued Macks, they won't be accurate, but will have the Mack "look" to them. I'll see if I can find my frame blueprints.

I thought something was wrong when I built the chassis for the Mack ladder - glad to hear this. I've driven 1:1 Mack R dump trucks, but never seen just a bare frame.

BTW, good looking cab, I'll have to add that to my wish list.
