Dan,
I am praying for you and your situation Brother. Many of us are struggling these days. I am sure that it is heartbreaking to think of having to part with a portion or all of your collection. While I am sure that some would benefit from purchasing your items, it would be with great sadness. If I were in a position to contribute to your repairs, I would be happy to do so. Prayers and positive thoughts Dan!

Sorry to hear of your financial woes. I was kind of in the same boat a little less than six years ago. You may remember I was preparing for a move because my unemployment benefits were starting to run out and I wasn't able to find full-time employment for over two years after the economy tanked in 2008. I made a similar post to liquidate my stash here, but was only able to only a few pieces. I too dreaded not getting getting anything close to what they were worth, or what I paid. Fortunately someone here stepped up and offered to store them for free until I relocated, stabilized myself, and got some room for them up here. He still has a substantial amount of it. Unfortunately, this type of option won't me of any help to you.

While I'd like to be able to help you out, I'm not in any position to do so. A one bedroom apartment is not conducive to building and displaying 1/25 scale models. And I haven't built anything in many years.

Here's an option for you; contact Tim Sherman of All Season Collectibles in Binghamton NY. He'll buy entire collections. In fact, he bought all of Chris Mooney's (remember him?) stuff. I don't have a phone number for him, but I believe his email address is still PlastiCar@aol.com and he should be in the phone book there. The area code is 607. If for some reason you are unaable to make contact with him, let me know. I'm Facebook friends with his son, Tim Jr, and can relay your contact info through him.

I've known him for several years and have considered getting a hold of him myself, as I'll never build the crates of stuff I still have.

Sorry to hear of your dilemma. May I suggest a 'go fund me' account where we as a group could contribute and you can keep you collection. Wish I could assist more, you are a value to this group

Elaborate a bit more Greg. How is such an account started and who maintains it?

Hi all,
I had hoped some one here would Jump on my Fire/Emergency vehicles.
I would Love some one here to get them
I have 2 ELW (Chief-Commando) Vanagon, and 3 Krankentransporter (Ambulance)
kits
as well as a TLF 8/18, RW-1, and 2 DLK from Rev-Germany,
and 3 DLK from Italeri. 2 Iveco-Magirus, and a Volvo

And don't forget my 1/32 fleet of projects

I forgpt to list some items
I have some 40's-50's era Lionel that were My "Mother's"
Her dad bought the, so likely mostly his!
as well as a Fair size lot of HO scale, and a little bit of N scale Model Railrod train sets

PLEASE< I would rather have some one here get this stuff.

Thank you all

I find out if I get to work on my house to save it, or have to
vacate tomorrow

If everything after Dad's death had been done correctly,
this would Not be happening
The House was SUPPOSE to be put in a Trust for my sister to live in
till death, so it would not be taken if she had to have surgery again.
Or end up in a Nursing Home

{Brother has it in His name. (wonder if City can hold HIM responsible in any way)}

She was Born with An Encephaloseal, and Hydrocephaly
She has a Shunt from her brain to her stomach to drain
excess brain/spinal fluid
She had a replacement done about 30 years ago
Parents expected her to need More.
So far so good

Sorry to rant

Oh, Best part about Brother, Mom asked years ago to set up a Loan
that would Automatically deduct out of Their Mom's & Sister's) account
instead of him paying
he said NO, and if we tried in any way to get a loan,
he would tear down the house

So I may actually have a reason to rant!!

Guys, I DO want some one here to get the Emergency Vehicles out of my Kits
And the Code3, Corgi, etc!!

Thank you again.

OK, House was inspected, and MUCH better than I expected
First and Foremost, I need a Toilet.
I have 2 weeks, to fix that.
(Though still expect similar back flow due to Crushed sewer line!!

and we have to make up the Social Security that went into Sister & Mothers bank account
instead of going toNursing Home
I am going to go ask about hiring on ether as a Janitor, etc.
That May work. They can garnish as much of pay as thay want til we make up what should have gone there since Mom went in.

I am Still offering everything, But it Is looking better to keep some, and More than I thought
