Excelsior Engine Co, Pearl River Fire Department318 views1976 FWD/Seagrave High Pressure Pumper: Scratchbuilt cab and body of a prototype pumper that was in service until about 2005. The model features many scratchbuilt accessories to replicate the prototype. I do recall that the hose bed and the coats/boot/helmets were a real pain to get done. The "12-HP" is their designation for this unit, 12 being their dept number and HP representing a high pressure pump. This was my first attempt at a totally scratchbuilt cab, I recall it was around 1984.

Trumpeter ALF Eagle355 viewsThis was my second truck that I have built. I added plenty of stuff to the inside. Airpacks, seat belts, map books, head sets, Scuplted driver/engineer, coke bottle and of course cheap sunglasses. I also opened all of the compartments with poseable doors and built all of the equipment from a combination of epoxy putty, evergreen, and balsa.

American LaFrance 1000 series pumper185 viewsThis was my first firetruck model that I have ever made. This kit was a pain in my backside. After completing the trumpeter one a couple of weeks later. I really really dislike the amt kit.
